Home / Activities / Town Hall Meeting: Voter’s Education Facilitation

After the capacity building provided on voter’s education, the leaders were able to:

  1. Be aware on national and local issues and their impact to their lives and to the country as whole;
  2. Relate the vital role of election to the development of their communities and to the country
  3. participate in the political processes especially the upcoming mid-term election by exercising their rights to vote; and
  4. vote wisely and choose candidates who have clear platform for democratic governance, protection of the rights to human life, dignity of human being, integrity and patriotism and candidates that abhor injustices and corruption

Since March 2019, there were 864 participants, 44 conducts in the areas of  Bulacan, Caloocan, Makati, Malabon, Mandaluyong, Manila, Marikina, Quezon City, Cavite, Paranaque, Rizal through house to house facilitation “pulong bahay” and Family Development Session orientations. On the dates of April 5, 7, 10-13, 15-17, 20-30 to June 11, 2019, SNPP Core leaders and second liners oriented about 10, 190 CCT and non CCT attendees, 105 times in the areas of Batangas, Bulacan, Caloocan, Cavite, Laguna, Makati, Malabon, Mandaluyong, Manila, Marikina, Mindoro, Muntilupa, Paranaque, Quezon City, Rizal.

At the end of every voter’s education, the leaders’ felt satisfied of the responses of the participants especially when they are being thanked for their inputs because they believe that latter has lack of knowledge or awareness as to who are running for Senatorial seats or who are most qualified among them. As observed, the result of the mock election during post session activity is better than the result of the mock election before the start of the voter’s education. In retrospect, the SNPP leader- facilitators would say that they still need to study the module very well especially on the national issues like corruption data and the issue on sovereignty.
